take me to a place where the drugs are free, the clubs have no gravity and every shag guarantees an orgasm.

calling the shots

Everybody has to make decisions. Who can say what's right for you and what's not. It's hard to determine what the right choice is when both of your options have positive outcomes.

In Love in the Cornhusks, Tinang had to decide between a past lover and her current situation. She had to make a decision of waiting or moving on. I think that she made the right decision by moving on. If she waited for him to come back, she would've been tormented by wasting her time hopelessly waiting for someone who would have never come. As they say it in tagalog, "Nagpapaasa lang".

The Corral is similar to the prior story. A girl having to decide between two men. Similar to your typical pinoy love story. One guy is hot but poor while the other is rich but ugly. The only difference is that in the end, she chose the guy who could take her further in life.

If I were in her shoes, I would've done the same thing. For me, its needs before wants. As we have discussed in class, women before also didn't really have the power to decide but then again, the ball is always in your court. Maybe if she really liked the handsome guy she could've eloped with him.. but that wouldn't be practical. I say it's better to be safe than sorry.
